Autumn Blossoms in My Vegetable Garden

Today I went to my vegetable garden to prepare the soil for autumn vegetables.
I added some compost made from layers of weeds I had collected over the last summer.

It was such a hot summer this year that even visiting the garden was hard.
I often came home drenched in sweat after cutting the grass.

Now the air has finally turned cool, and the field is filled with blooming cosmos.
Butterflies and bees dance around the flowers—it feels like paradise.

As I stand there, my breath deepens and my heart calm.
For years, this little garden has healed me.
Whenever I feel tired or anxious about the world, being here always brings me back to myself.

The people who share this garden are kind and gentle, always offering me their vegetables with a smile.

Even strangers passing by greet me as if we already know each other.

This garden has become part of me and it’s become my peaceful haven. 🌿

Thank you for reading. I’ll keep sharing little moments from my life in Japan — from my garden, kitchen, and everyday reflections. See you in the next post!
